Challenger Disaster 25 years Ago Today

I was driving to work that morning with the radio on and heard a news report that the space shuttle Challenger exploded 73 seconds after launch that morning. Later, I was able to see the video. I was sad for the families, but more so for the American spirit.

Then there was the President - Ronald W. Reagan whos speech tried to make things right again. We would later discover the reasons why the Challenger Disaster took place and tried to correct those mistakes.

On Michelle Malkin's website today, she ran President Reagan's video of his speech. She also posted the transcript of that speech.

Also included in that post is the most beautiful poem (my opionion) I have ever heard in my life... High Flight by John Gillespie Magee, Jr. I'm going to copy and paste that poem here into this post. The Hack Heard Around the World-Global Warming is all Fake!

Thanks to some cyber hacker who thinks of themself( or themselves) as some sort of cyber Batman - a bombshell on what (for now) appears to be the greatest myth of our times...

Global Warming is all Fake!

The information comes from a Stephen McIntrye of Climate Audit who broke the story about the cyber batman breaking into the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (otherwise known as Hadley CRU). The recovered emails that came from Hadley CRU include personal exchanges were posted on the internet on Thursday.

BBC states that the shere volume of this information that all the material cannot be confimred as genuine as of yet.

As Michelle Malkin states on her blog: First things first: The alleged hackers need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

That said: The crimes revealed in the e-mails promise to be the global warming scandal of the century — and have massive bearing on the climate change legislation being considered by our lawmakers here at home.

Also quoting from her blog, this segiment that was in a blue box: When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory – suggest:

Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more.

One of the alleged emails has a gentle gloat over the death in 2004 of John L Daly (one of the first climate change sceptics, founder of the Still Waiting For Greenhouse site), commenting:

“In an odd way this is cheering news.”

But perhaps the most damaging revelations – the scientific equivalent of the Telegraph’s MPs’ expenses scandal – are those concerning the way Warmist scientists may variously have manipulated or suppressed evidence in order to support their cause.

As for myself - I lived through the times when folks thought the Earth was warming up and then in the 1970s-80s, it was cooling down to another ice age, then in the 1990s it was back to warming up again. And I see former vice president Al Gore getting rich(er) over trying to spread the word about Global Warming and pushing the carbon credits con game whereby he'll get even richer as I understand it.

Plus the fact that for some reason, those who "believe in" Global Warming have been doing it so long now that it is almost a religion to them now. Also, those who support that point of view also appear to me to be trying to cripple the United States of America, get rich for themselves and enriching other countries while screwing the US citizen out of existence.
