Possible UFO Escorted by Military Helicopters

On the night on January 27, 2012; a flight of five or six military helicopters flew right over my property with their formation lights on.  I live on the northwest side of Lubbock, Texas.  Just outside the city limits.

Between the last two ships in the formation was a tiny red ball of light. If the helicopters were 2000 feet AGL, I am guessing that the light was smaller than a basketball.

The MOST likely answer is a helicopter had a forward formation light that was no longer working.  Second most likely answer was this helicopter flight was excorting a drone from one base to another base.

Then the third option is a UFO that was being escorted.  Now, whether that UFO was a alien spacecraft or some new high tech gimzo that the US military has cooked up, I don't know.

I know some of my friends posted online their experience and I am asking them to go ahead and post their observations in the comments field below.

First email sent out to USS Lonestar shiplist was by Phillip Johnston. (Fri, Jan 27, 2012 at 9:16 PM.  With subject line: "Interest thing i saw").


At about 8:30  pm  Jan 27  I was in my back yard and could hear a  helicopter like sound.
After a few minutes  i seem to be able to detect which way it was coming from.
It was coming from the west . It first traveled to the south then it began to go east.
It went right over Levelland. What  I could see was three lights  the one in the rear and lower was flashing. The two in the front were  just red lights . There was no white light  or directional colored lights on the ships. As they came closer I could tell that the ones in front were towing or leading the one in back. The one in the rear seemed to stay behind but in between at the same distanced  the whole time I was able to observe them. as they passed my position.
The two in front now seemed to display a single white light  to the rear , not blinking. Using binoculars  I could not get a better ID of the object in the back. It just blinked with a very bright red light which was visible the entire time  I viewed it.   I really wish it were  day light.  I think they didn't want anyone to identify what was  being pulled across the sky.   -- Phillip Johnston.  January 27, 2012.

Interesting! Last night Darrell and I were at the drive-in. During the first show, we observed a very bright elongated light in the northern sky. After a little speculation, we decided that it must be a very close satellite. We went to the bathroom after the first show. 


When we returned the moon was a sliver in the exact spot where the light had been. It was not as bright as the original light which we never saw again. Maybe it was the moon from the start, but we really couldn't see how that was so. Possibly the moon light was obscuring it? When the moon disappeared behind clouds, the light was not there either.


About an hour later we saw what appeared to be five helicopters flying in formation that changed to an almost straight line flying from the southwest to the northeast. They flew directly over us. They had very bright front white lights and red rear lights. The last one seemed to be towing something because it had a second  red light was too far behind it to be its tail. Curious, We both thought that it was a rather odd evening in the sky.

I too have a IFO/UFO report to put forward here.  I saw the same 5-6 helicopters flying one behind the other.  between the last two helios was a tiny red light, no other formation lights on it like the other helicopters.  In other words, it appeared to be the size of a basketball (at the most-more likely as small as a baseball).  I thought that it might be a drone that they were escorting in flight.  There was no way I could ignore the sound of those heavy helicopters as they flew right over my property at about 1000 to 2000 feet altitude (I'm guessing at that).

Shag Harbour, Pan Am UFO Connection

 

There was a recent article by Alexandra Holzer in the Huffington Post that connected the supposed UFO crash in Shag Harbour and a Pan Am Boeing 707 cargo jet flying out of New York to London.

Pan American World Airways pilot Captain Ralph Loewinger and his flight crew:  co-pilot Captain Curt Olsen and flight engineer Mike Littlepage; plus there was another pilot and navigator that was with them on this trip. The Pan Am flight crew did not file a UFO report of the incident that took place on October 3, 1967.  They were in contact with the Boston air traffic control center at the time of the encounter. Boston Center confirmed that there was no other traffic near the Beoing 707 at that time.

The Boeing 707 cargo aircraft was approaching Yarmouth, Nova Scotia at 33,000 feet when they spotted the UFO.  Ralph Loewinger stated that the evening was quote: "clear, moonless and the lights of the south coast were plainly in view" end quote.  The unknown "Lights" was at their eleven o'clock high position relative to their aircraft.

Both pilots kept their hands on the control yokes in case there was a chance to avoid a collision if need to.

On his return flight, Ralph Loewinger was listening to a Canadian radio station while the news announcer reproted that quote, "the RCMP had discontinued search operations for 'strange light formations reproted falling into the sea near Yarmouth." end quote.

This would appear to connect the Shag Harbour UFO with another group of witnesses. On the ground, the UFO that was seen by about 70 people from different vantage points disappeared underwater in Shag Harbour.

The seabed there has been checked over several times for unusual depressions.  But it looks like that someone swept up the sea flood neatly leaving behind no clues.  There was a History Channel program that focus on the Shag Harbour incident entitled "Deep Sea UFOs" that was aired on January 23, 2006.  Ms. Holzer asked Captain Ralph Loewinger if he had seen this program and he confirmed that he did watch that show.

UFO Seen Over Moscow Protest Rally

A recent daytime UFO sighting of what appears to this blogger to be of a helicopter-like drone, was seen at a political protest rally in Bolotnaya Square; in the Russian Capital of Moscow this month.

The video link here ( http://bcove.me/7ohwxeld ) and some of the screen captures were posted online by the Daily Mail recently. Poor picture quality and the videos taken by two individuals that the Daily Mail was able to reach are of poor quality too.

I am guessing both videos were taken by cellphone cameras. Hint to future video takers. Cellphone cameras do have a ZOOM in function if you will just take the time when you have your UFO moment to use it!

In the pictures, the object appears to have legs or other blade-like objects sticking out from the central body. Witnesses to this sighting state that they did not hear any rotor blade or engine sounds from this object.

The protesters were voicing their opposition to Vladimir Putin's United Russia party's contentious victory in elections the week before when the UFO sighting took place. And those present became more concern with the UFO instead of the main reason they were there.

There's no UFO cover-up says the White House

The White House has responded to two petitions asking the government to acknowledge formally that extraterrestrial beings have interacted with the US government.

Quote: The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race," Phil Larson from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy reported on the WhiteHouse.gov website."In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye."

The msnbc news article reporting this says that hundreds of military and government agency witnesses have confirm the ET/US government interaction with their testimony. They also report that opinion polls show that 50% of the American people believe that there are, or have been a alien presence on earth. And that more than 80% believe that the US government is not telling the truth about the phenomenon.

One of the groups that went out promoting the petitions, The Paradigm Research Group; stated that the response from a "low-level staffer" was unacceptable and that it would begin a new petition campaign.

The White House, as a result of this petition campaign, has raised the bar for online signing to petitions before they will respond. What once required 5,000 online signatures within 30 days now requires 25,000.

And this blogger is NOT surprise by the answer the White House delivered. In my opinion, First Contact will have to take place OUTSIDE the boarders of the United States of America in another country. And even then, I doubt that our government will be forth coming with any details from previous contacts with ET since the end of World War Two.

Huff Post vs USAF over UFOs

The Huffington Post discovered a referrence to UFOs in a 2008 United States Air Force document - and wrote about it. Now, this week, that USAF document has been "updated" and there is no mention of UFOs again.

The doc in question is Air Force Instruction 10-206. It advises pilots, radar operators, and other Air Force personnel on what they should do if they encounter any unknown strange objects, i.e. UFOs. Now in the 2011 version, the reference to UFOs has been dropped.

Just for the record. Project Blue Book was stopped in 1969.

As early as September 2011, USAF personnel were advised to note the following information about any UFO... quote: "altitude, direction of travel, speed, description of flight path and maneuvers, what first called attention to the object, how long was the object visible and how did the object disappear?"

Eyes in the sky and on the ground were commanded to treat a UFO as they would if they had seen a missile, hostile aircraft or unidentified submarine. end quote.

JFK Asked About UFOs in Memo - 10 Days Before His Death!

Leave it to the Brits to get this story out to the masses. The American Main Stream Media (MSM) wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole without making a joke about tin foil hats and the kinds of people who actually see UFOS.

It seems that John F. Kennedy wrote to the head of the CIA demanding some highly confidential documents and memos about UFOs 10 days before he was assassinated.

The memo is one of two letters written by the President asking about UFO and other paranormal information. Date listed on the letters is November 12, 1963. All this comes from the CIA in a recent document dump through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

William Lester aquired the FOIA documents for a new book he is writing about entitled, "A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier."

Devon England UFO Video

Discovered this bit of YouTube footage from a article on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory tonight.

Incident suppose to have taken place on March 5, 2011, and the video was hot by a 72-year old farmer who was out walking his dog in Devon, England. As one can see, the disc moves behind some trees and then disappears from view.

On YouTube, the video was posted by someone going by the handle "whatintheworld10", real name of Patricia. I quote what Patricia wrote with her video posting:

"Filmed in Devon England. 5th March 2011

Ok, there are already a lot of rumours floating around about this clip, and unfortunately most of you wouldnt know real if it hit u in the face.

1. filmed by a 72 year old farmer friend of mine (next time I will ask him to say a few words for u all so as to make it a little more realistic)

2. WIND. u all know what it sounds like when u get a light oncoming breeze into the mic on your phone. sorry if you believe that this is not right in any way. it only goes to show you are wrong.

People create their own stories according to how it should be to them. and if it doesnt fit in with your idea, You wont accept it either way. Some of you really are convinced that you think you KNOW. If you were in my shoes, you would see you didnt KNOW after all. The only people who know, are the ones involved.

Big Apple UFO

A shiny object that appeared over Manhattan's West Side made the news today. Police and FAA claim it was nothing more than balloons. The object first appeared about 1:30pm in the afternoon. It appeared to be about 5,000 feet altitude.

Churchill RAF-UFO Cover-Up

Two of my favorite subjects combined into one story. UFOs and World War Two history. My disappointment with the article is the failure to mention what type of reconnaissance aircraft was involved. The meat of the article implies to me that it was at minimum, a two person aircraft to maybe something larger. In my mind-this means a twin-engine Mosquito. But - that is a guess on my part.

The former Prime Minister allegedly banned reporting of the “bizarre” incident, off the east coast of England, for half a century amid fears disclosures about unidentified flying objects would create public hysteria.

He is said to have made the orders during a secret war meeting with US General Dwight Eisenhower, the then commander of the Allied Forces, at an undisclosed location in America during the latter part of the conflict.

The claims are contained in thousands of pages of declassified files on UFOs, released on Thursday online by the National Archives.

The 18 files, which cover from 1995 to 2003, are made up of more than 5,000 pages of reports, letters, and drawings drawn from correspondence with the public and questions raised in parliament.

The allegations involving Churchill were made by the grandson of one his personal bodyguards, an RAF officer who overheard the discussion, who wrote to the Ministry of Defence in 1999 inquiring about the incident after his grandfather disclosed details to his family.

According to the series of letters, written by the guard's grandson who is now a physicist from Leicester, a reconnaissance plane and its crew were returning from a mission over occupied Europe when they were involved in the war incident.

During their flight, on the English coast, possibly near Cumbria, their aircraft was approached by a metallic UFO which shadowed them.

Photographs of the object, which the crew claimed had “hovered noiselessly” near the plane, were taken by the crew.

Later, during discussions about the unexplained incident, the two men were claimed to have become so concerned by the incident that Churchill ordered it remain secret for 50 years or more.

During the meeting, a weapons expert dismissed suggestions the object was a missile as the event was "totally beyond any imagined capabilities of the time".

Another person at the meeting raised the possibility of a UFO, at which point Churchill ordered the report to be classified for at least half a century and reviewed by the prime minister to stop “panic” spreading.

“There was a general inability for either side to match a plausible account to these observations, and this caused a high degree of concern,” wrote the scientist, whose details are redacted.

"Mr Churchill is reported to have made a declaration to the effect of the following: 'This event should be immediately classified since it would create mass panic among the general population and destroy one's belief in the Church'."

Apart from telling his daughter – the scientist’s mother – about the incident when she was nine, the bodyguard, who was “greatly affected by his experience”, only disclosed the details to his wife on his deathbed in 1973.

The scientist, also an expert in astronomy who said he developed software for use in "spacecraft thermal engineering", was told years later by his mother.

Stressing he was not a “crackpot”, he said he wanted to investigate the science behind the incident after his grandfather, who was bound by the Official Secrets Act, remained convinced that the object was secret technology being tested by a foreign power.

After investigating the claims, an MoD official said there was no evidence to support the claims as all “UFO files before 1967 were destroyed after five years” due to insufficient public interest. This was supported by a Cabinet Office official.

While there was documents supporting the events, historians last night believed it more than likely occurred.

They said that Churchill had a known interest with UFOs, even asking for a report in 1952 on “flying saucers” and what it “amounted to”.

Dr David Clarke, author of The UFO files and Senior Lecturer in Journalism at Sheffield Hallam University, said the “fascinating” files showed the level of concern about such “bizarre incidents” during the war.

“It does tie in with what we already know as you have to remember that this was also long before the phrase UFO was created,” he said.

“I suspect there is an element of truth to the statement.”

UFO Delays Air Travel in China

A photograph was taken of the UFO hovering over Hangzhou. The capital of East China's Zhejiang province late Wednesday on July 7, 2010. Photo from Metro Express.

Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at 9pm. Some flights were redirected to other cities such as Nigbo and Wuxi, said a Chinese spokesman (unnamed of course). Flights were delayed up to 3-4 hours before normal schedules were resumed. Source: China Daily(By Yang Yijun).

The UFO appears to be of the "cigar" class of object with smaller lights (windows?) above the main light/underbelly of the object.

Bob Bigelow's Haunted Ranch-Alien Battle Rumor Exposed.

These five paragraphs below caught my eye. Especially the amount of money he has invested in aerospace and now UFO research. And HOW much he is still willing to invest it in.

Quote: Bob Bigelow's company, Bigelow Aerospace, is on the verge of becoming America's foremost private space venture.

According to reports, as quoted by the Bigelow Aerospace website, Bigelow has "already spent about $180 million of his own money so far and has said he is willing to spend up to $320 million more" to develop his space stations and lunar base concept.

When it comes to UFO sightings, the FAA advises Air Traffic Controllers, "Persons wanting to report UFO/unexplained phenomena activity should contact a UFO/unexplained phenomena reporting data collection center, such as Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies."

Bob Bigelow, following shortly after physicist Stephen Hawking's warning to avoid the alien extraterrestrials at all cost, recently told The New York Times that UFOs can have a fatal attraction.

"People have been killed. People have been hurt. It´s more than observational kind of data." (end quote).

FAA Says Report UFOS to Bigelow Aerospace

Robert Bigelow is out to change how we do business in and out of the atmosphere. Bigelow Aerospace has two inflatible test space stations in orbit already - Genesis 1 and 2. He eventually wants to put a hotel in earth orbit.

They are hiring astrophysics, biochemists, microbiologists, nanotechnolgists, physicists, and propulsion and stealth technology experts. Just as long you can qualify for secret and top secret clearances and must be willing to submit to a thorough background check. Plus - travel nationally and internationally may be required.

While BAASS has be operating for most of 2009, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued on December 10, 2009, instructions to contact BAASS if you are a pilot or air traffic controller and you have witness a Unidentified Flying Object (UFO).

The Bamboo Saucer (1968) movie

The Russians and the Americans team up against the Red Chinese and recover a downed flying saucer during the Cold War.

This was a film from 1968 that I remembered quite fondly. Its one hour and forty so-mod minutes long. It stars actor Dan Duryea (in his last role) playing pilot Hank Peters. He is one of four members of a American expeditionay force in search of a missing UFO in China. The adventure takes on political significance when he is forced to join up with a similar Soviet team. Lois Nettelton is the beautiful blonde Russian scientist who was taking a shower under the falls when Dan Duryea spots her. Then he meets up with the "other" members of her team.

In the process of escaping from the Chinese troops, the American/Soviet teams use the recovered UFO to fly away and end up travelling all the way out to Saturn and back.

The movie was directed by Frank Telford and produced by Jerry Fairbanks.

Most critics agree that the acting is bad and the special effects were low rate. This is too bad, it could have been a much better. I would love to see the script given a rewrite, updated it for the modern era and try again. Socorro UFO - The (New) Hoax Theory. And the Flame War it Generated.

Posted below is the link to Kevin D. Randle's blog "A Different Perspective." Recently, the famous April 1964 UFO case of Police Officer Lonnie Zamora, in Socorro, New Mexico; heated up with a posting by Tony Bragalia on his blog (www.theufochronicles.com) that the entire incident was a hoax.

This began about on or about October 1st, 2009. And the UFO websites have taken on a new life as folks who think it is a hoax claim that Bragalia is right. And the other side (of which I am a part of) say basically - prove it was a hoax. Otherwise, the case still stands on its own two feet as a valid UFO landing incident.

I have posted a few comments on Kevin's website related to this story. Please drop by there and read his fine article on the subject. RAF Bentwaters - Latest from Linda Moulton Howe

I was visiting her excellent website and found this latest article on the Bentwaters/Rendlesham Forest UFO incident of December, 1980.

In this article, Staff Sgt James W. Penniston provided a sketch of the triangle craft he saw, photographed, and touch. He also produced a sketch of some writing that he found on the craft as well. The symbols were 3 inches high he said.

New Mexico Twin Disc Sightings

Take a look at Coast to Coast AM website and this photograph submitted by someone by the name of Michael who lives in New Mexico.

Quoting Michael, "I snapped off 5 pictures that afternoon of these craft, but this is the only one with two flying close to each other. I don't believe in flying saucers from other planets at all. these are obviously secret craft being flown out of white sands, or some other airbase. My contacts in the community have all told me of "Alien craft" being in the skies, and I never believed them. This gives substance to their stories, but doesn't convince me of an "alien presence."

To me, it appears as two circular, discs flying together in formation. Here is a close-up of the two discs off of the original image downloaded from the C2CAM website.

Watervliet, New York UFO on May 11, 2009

George Knapp linked this to the Coast to Coast AM website from the Filer's Files.  I think this is one of the best cylinderical UFO photographs ever taken.  Object sighted on May 11, 2009 above Watervliet, New York. 

The report said that it was hovering at about 500 feet altitude.

UFO photographed over Czech Republic

Saturday, February 14, 2009, just before 8pm and again at about the same time on February 17th; local residents witness something strange in the skies ober the northern city of Cheb, population of 33,000, in the Czech Republic. Calls flooded local radio stations, newspapers, and police had to deal with the numberous calls regarding the UFO appearance.

On February 17th, Stanislaw Strmen, a resident of Cheb, went outside to try and fix his TV antenna because he was experiecning TV reception problems when he noticed four objects moving over the city towards the direction of Germany. He also noted a deep humming sound. With his digital camera, he managed to take a few pictures before they left the area. Quoting him, 'I think they might have been real UFOs-they weren't aircraft or helicopters."

Of special note in the pictures that he took, the objects appeared to be the rather "old-fashion" flying saucer type instead of the more "Modern" triangles of the last two decades. Other witness to this event also reported the objects to be saucer shaped.
